As long as it is a Chartbook saved in a version from the last two years you should not have a problem. If you need to update it, refer to:

I tried opening it in the previous version of SC 2623 and it is still giving me not compatible error. Do I need to try 2204?

Yes, if 2363 did not work, then go back to 2204 and see if you can open the chartbook. If you can, then save it and then open it in 2363 and save it again. Then go to the current release and you should be fine.

I’m not totally sure if I downloaded 2204 but it still is giving me the same error. I’ve included a pic of the message log

Hi thanks I got it. Couple more questions. I downloaded this and it opens but the chart isnt moving it just loaded the current tpo bar and there is no price movement.

How do I transfer the chartbook from SC on my other computer to this one? Although its the same CB as the one I was trying to load above, the other one has more charts on it and is what I need. I tried sharing it with myself from my other comp but it does not show up on this computer when I look f0r it to open. Its got the exact same name as the one above.

If the chart was old, then it's possible that you were using a different service, or the symbols may have just changed. Try opening the Chartbook and selecting Edit >> Translate Symbols To Current Service. Let us know if that does not solve it.

In terms of transferring the chartbook, the easiest thing is to just copy it by using a USB Flash drive to move it between computers. The full instructions for updating one installation to another is at the following link, but if you just want the one file, then just follow the instructions and copy the one file:
