Hi,

I'm using this study 'Ask Volume Bid Volume Difference Text' and I want to create an alert when the delta is either progressively increasing for 5 bars in a row or progressively decreasing for 5 bars in a row.

Can you also tell me where to place this alert so that it triggers please.

Thanks

You can place the alert itself in the Ask Volume Bid Volume Difference Text study within the Alert tab.

The alert itself for the increasing situation, would look like the following:
=AND(SG1[-4] > SG1[-5], SG1[-3] > SG1[-4], SG1[-2] > SG1[-3], SG1[-1] > SG1[-2], SG1[0] > SG1[-1])

Thanks for your response.

What's the best way to then use the 'Color Bar Based on Alert Condition' study to add a point on low for this when it occurs?

Thanks again.

The Alert Condition would be the same, but you would change the Draw Style for the Subgraph to Point on Low. Just remember to also change the size, as the default is 1, which is barely visible (start at 5 and go up/down from there).

Refer to the following:
Chart Studies: Point On Low (ACSIL: DRAWSTYLE_POINT_ON_LOW)
