Does sc.ServerConnectionState not work in delayed data feed?

As the title suggested, I am using delayed data feed service and "sc.ServerConnectionState" does not seem to work.
The only way I can make it work is to press Disconnect manually. Even when I disconnect my internet entirely, it still doesn't work. The chart just stops updating and nothing happens.

Is this normal behavior?

Yes what you describe does make sense because of how the connection is made. It is what we call a sub data service connection for market data in the background. The state of the connection cannot be detected through that variable.
