what does it mean when you point to a study range and you move the pointer, the whole sudy moves up or down instead of just the range expanding or contracting?
it is happening to my 5 mt chart but not to the 1mt chart which is behaving correctly.

We are not sure we are understanding what you are saying. But refer to the following setting for the Hand Tool to see if this is related to your issue:

what I meas=n is by pointing my mouse to the scale range of the 5 mt chart, and then clicking the left button on the mouse, the whole 5 mt chart moves up or down folloing the mouse movement without pressing any other key on my kewborad. usually when the left button of the mouse while pointing to the region range of a chart, that range expands or contracts when moving the mouse up or down. this does not happen on the 1mt chart where by pointing the mouse to its range scale, this range expands or contracts when you move the muse pointer up or down, which is the normal behavuor of the mouse on the scale range of any chart I've always been used to.

It's selectable as to which action is going to occur with the pointer alone and then the other one can be accessed using the Ctrl key along with the pointer.

Just right-click on the scale and you will see the options for the following in the list at the top:
- Interactive Scale Range
- Interactive Scale Move
- Interactive Scale Locked

On the chart that is not acting in the "way you want" change the selection. This is a per-chart setting. We have no idea how the one chart of yours got set the other way.

Refer to the following for more information:
