I'm providing access to a subscriber to my Trendex DLL through the Automated File Distribution System and ALL the charts he sees are blank. Not even a time or price scale is showing. All the studies are there, not hidden, only protected by passwords. We recreated a new chartbook, chart and verified the same symbol and data feed is working. Please advise, thank you very much!

Are you also distributing a Chartbook to the customer? If so, then make sure that the customer selects Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service after opening the Chartbook. Chances are that the symbols you setup the chartbook with are different from what they use.

But, if you are just sending a DLL, then first thing is to ensure that the customer has the charts showing properly before adding your study to the chart. If the bars are correct and showing properly before they add the study, and then they disappear after the study is added, then there is something about your study that is not working properly for them.

Yes, I'm distributing a chartbook. We're both using the same exact data feed and symbol. I checked to see if the bars type was set to blank and they were not. Again, not even showing the price or time scale which is very strange. As I mentioned, we did recreate a new chartbook with a "clean" chart, using the same bar type and exact same data feed proving all still work. I'll try the "Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service" to see if that does anything, thank you!

I've brought over James Athan, a mutual customer to SC where I've updated access to a newer DLL, and am wondering why he still has access to 2 older dated versions in his "File" menu. I've removed access to these older DLL files (Chartbooks) but they are still there. He is having trouble getting live data so he's not able to see them. Once he gets live data will those older DLLs disappear?

We are not sure what you are referring to. DLLs and Chartbooks are two completely different things. DLLs are compiled custom studies and have an extension of .dll. Chartbooks, contain the charts and have an extension of .cht.

Are you supplying chartbooks or DLLs?

In either case, if you stop supplying the file, the old files will stay on the customer's computer.
