1. I have several derived data columns in a spreadsheet that I want to plot.
How do I plot this. For example my data is in the spreadsheet Sheet 3 column D.

2. How can I generate a chart that is a single vertical column and the X axis is not Time? Similar to a vertical thermometer.

3. How can I plot and display spreadsheet data in graphical formats such as bar, horizontal bar, pie charts etc?

Thanks

1) If you have used a spare sheet of a spreadsheet study's spreadsheet for derived data, be sure you don't add a spreadsheet study, with default settings, to a chart with the same chart number as the sheet: your data will be overwritten. By default, Sheet#s correspond to chart#s.
You cannot directly display spreadsheet data to a chart from derived data on a spare sheet. Only data in Formula Columns K-Z...BR can be displayed, and only from a spreadsheet study's sheet that corresponds to the chart#.

2) This is not supported.

3) This is not supported.

Thanks for your reply.
The spreadsheet sheet number to chart number is a real pain - especially when one deletes or inserts a new chart into the chart book.
Looks like I've got to have multiple chart books with only a single chart in each but all chart books sharing the same spreadsheet file for my multiple monitor configuration rather than having a single chart book with multiple charts that are detached.
I guess I'm headed to converting the spreadsheet stuff to ASCIL and C# so I can get the displays (items 2 and 3) that I want.
Now if I can only find an automatic converter. LOL.

The same-named spreadsheet study can be used on all charts in a chartbook, even if some charts are detached to other monitors. Spreadsheets are not detachable to other monitors.

You can use the standalone spreadsheets for derived data instead of a spare sheet on the spreadsheet study's spreadsheet. You can reference that standalone spreadsheet from spreadsheet study spreadsheets and vice versa.
Go to File >> New Spreadsheet. If it already exists, File >> Open Spreadsheet.

You can use the Chart Data Output Sheet Number and Formula Source Sheet Number settings to disassociate the sheet number from the chart number. The use of these settings can get confusing if your system is complex, so be careful.
