Hey,

I connected to real-time CQG from the AMP broker and for some reason when I open a numbers bars, I do not see the data of the past. I'm starting to see only the data that was from the time I connected to the data.
What could be the problem?
I'm attaching a picture here.

Thanks

This is how historical data comes into Sierra Chart from CGQ. Refer to the information at the second bullet point here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/Whats_New.php#SCVer2351

The only solution is to use the Denali Exchange Data Feed instead. You will find the information, and Setup Instructions, at the following link:

Sorry I did not understand, every time I re-enter Sierra, the historical data will not appear? Do I have to leave my computer on for 24 hours to get this information and there is no other way?

Sorry, we missed a couple of words in the original post (which we have corrected).

What you are seeing is how the historical data from CQG comes into the system. If you want to have the Bid/Ask data from the CQG data feed, then yes, you would need to keep your computer on 24 hours a day (or at least, the times when the markets you are wanting data from are open).

The only solution to this issue with the CQG data is to use our Denali Exchange Data Feed which has tick-by-tick historical data going back to 2011 for the CME Group (for example). Refer to the information here:

Hi, sorry for the question but has it always been like this or is it something that has been updated recently? I have a friend who uses the same data as mine (via AMP and the CQG data) and he does get that data (without leaving his computer on 24 hours). What could be the difference between us?

This started in release 2351. Refer to the information here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/Whats_New.php#SCVer2351

But there are so many improvements as we add releases that it is not a good idea to stay too far back.

Okay, I think I understood but I just want to be sure.
1. I need to purchase your Denali Exchange Data Feed
2. I do not have to pay for CQG to AMP because I get this data from you (Am I right?)
3. How do I connect my AMP account to Sierra if I get this data from you?

1. Yes.

2. Yes - you do not need to pay for data from CQG.

3. You keep the connection as you already have it. Sierra Chart is setup to get data from us and then allow you to trade with your trading service. Just go through the Denali Setup Instructions and once that is done you will be getting the data from our Denali Exchange Data Feed and trading through CQG. You will find the Setup Instructions for the CME Group data here:
Denali Exchange Data Feed: *Setup Instructions: CME/CBOT/NYMEX/COMEX Exchanges*

Thanks. I looked at the details and saw that I also have to pay for real time data from the exchange. Is this a fixed payment every month or a one-time payment?
