Chart Settings Dialog Box is opening in a black spreadsheet modeless instead of windows?

I am trying to reset my chart settings dialog box back to the windows view versus the black spreadsheet modeless version. I have attached a picture of the current view. Please guide me, thanks

Can I return to a previous software version? Some training video guides reference the other dialog boxes.
