Cannot connect to service.

I cannot connect to Sierra.

This has been happening regularly for the last couple weeks.
Mostly at night when the market reopens at 5:00 CST.

I downloaded current version 2351 to no avail.

I am with Denali 11. I am with Infinity/Transact as a broker.
Is this why? I am also with IB and am going to use them with Sierra and stop
Infinity. (I am happy with IB and have been with them for many years. (Stocks/options as well)

It is now 5:50 and still not connected.

Please advise.

Among other things, it says:
We are hearing a lot about Transact users having connectivity problems! Understand Sierra Chart does not have the ability to solve these problems. This is why we have developed our own order routing service to the exchanges, which are replacing all other services. You need to move on to our Teton order routing, and work with a broker that supports that service. Thank you!


Please move off of Transact and onto our Teton order routing and a new broker as soon as possible. Interactive Brokers is fine as well. But really you should look at Teton.

I am sorry to hear about the connection issues with Transact. I am a former Infinity Futures Broker and I believe the best solution would be to switch to Sierra Teton Order Routing with Denali for real time and historical data. This is all maintained by Sierra directly, which I feel provides great benefits to traders as Sierra can focus on enhancements instead of maintenance of other third party order routing feeds. In addition, I feel it is the best overall quality and value for traders. As far as I understand, the Transact connection is in the process of no longer being supported by Sierra Chart.

Thanks for the quick response.

I do not want to move to Stage 5, Edgeclear or any other small
brokerage anymore. (I left out the mom/pop comment)

As said I am with IB as well. Have been for 20 years. Why? Size.
I also trade options, stocks, well as futures.

I was the main poster on FT71 (Morad's) thread for ten years. He stopped using
that thread. However, I have recommended and sent countless people to Sierra
over the years. Why? Because you deserved it.

I just paid/renewed Sierra and Denali today. Why am I saying this?
No particular reason.

I can understand you wanting clients to go to Teton. We know that
IB has their own. I would use Teton with IB but can't.

Please direct me to instructions on how to switch things from Transact to
IB. Yes, I would want Transact no longer part of my name.

Please understand my reasoning.
One way or another I will still recommend/tout Sierra. Why?
Because you deserve/earned it.

PS I would like to use my Sierra as soon as possible, needless to say.

Also these Introducing Brokers, are with Advantage, Dorman, Phillip Capital. All of these, going to be larger than Transact. We do not know the background details of Transact currently . However, for a period of time, Transact uses Dorman to clear after MF Global went down which was their previous clearing firm. We assume they are still with Dorman. So the reality is, you would be eliminating one particular party and going direct to the actual clearing member.

Let us know when you want us to remove Transact from your username. We can do it at the end of the day today.
