Dear Sierra Chart,

I would like to have access to real time data for the following two products from SGX Exchange:

1) Nikkei Index Futures
2) China A50 Index Futures

How may I gain access to real time data for the two products? Please guide me. Thank you.

We do not have data for the SGX. You would have to check with one of the data providers we work with (CQG, Rithmic or Interactive Brokers) to see if they offer the data, in which case you could get it into Sierra Chart through them.

Thanks John,

I do indeed have data feed for the two products above from Interactive Brokers. How may I get them into Sierra Chart? Thank you.

You would have to figure out the proper symbol scheme from Interactive Brokers. Refer to the information at the following link:

The first step is to connect Sierra Chart to Interactive Brokers:

And then determine the correct symbol to use to open a chart:

Do you still offer connection through CQG to SGX or ICE data feed?

If yes - then can I use for my CME & EUREX Denali and within new instance CQG for SGQ or ICE ?

Yes, you can use CQG for data other than the CME Group and EUREX. You would not need to have separate instances - as Sierra Chart is setup to look to get data from Sierra Chart first, and then anything for which you are not setup to get in real-time from us, we look to get from your Trading Service (CQG in this case).

I'm a Denali/CME/CBOT/CFE user that would like to also get SGX feeds, which I understand I need to get via CQG. I was originally going to install a separate copy (Not instance), per the instructions in the documentation, however am I correct in understanding that I in fact do not need to do this and that by adding CQG as a trading account, Sierra should pull the relevant data across?

Would there be any sort of settings I'd need to change for the symbols in particular for this to occur?

Thank you

You are correct, you would not need to install a separate installation, as long as you are getting the real-time data for the CME Group and/or EUREX from us, then you can connect to CQG with a single installation and get other data from CQG into the system.

There is nothing special you need to do, you just open a symbol for the other exchanges and you will be getting that data from CQG.

I've looked at various posts / documentation and I'm finding that there seems to be conflicting ways to do this. So far, I've added my CQG account but I can only seem to switch between the two, rather than being able to use Denali + CQG at the same time.

Could you let me know what documentation is more current in relation to this?

Also, I can't find SGX FXQuote in the symbol list, but they work when I add them manually but if you'd know what tick sizes and other settings to use it would be appreciated.

We are not understanding this question. In particular, what you mean by switching between the two.

You should not be doing any switching. You would just connect to your CQG account, and the data for the CME Group, CFE, EUREX, and NASDAQ TotalView will be coming from our Denali Exchange Data Feed. The other data will come from CQG.

Just on another note, I'm having to add the symbols for SGX FXQuote manually. Would it be yourselves or CQG that need to add these to the symbol list?

You need to open a chart for the symbol manually. Or you can add the symbols to your Global Symbol List. This is not something we would do.

Understood regarding the switching.

I contacted CQG via Phillip in the mean time, requesting tick sizes and appropriate configuration for F.US.ZUC since these are not published on the CQG site.
I am able to see the DOM / Chart having added the symbol manually using what I perceive to be correct settings, but I would not want to rely on my own assumptions.

The most important item is the Tick Size (smallest traded value). The other item of importance is the "Currency Value per Tick" if you are actually trading it from Sierra Chart and you want to see your Profit/Loss in currency (otherwise, this would not matter).

You should be able to find the information on the exchanges website.
