Hello Support,

My Sierra Chart v2328 runs fine and shows perfect historical charts via "SC Data - All services". I'm also able to run secondary instance and connect it to primary via DTC protocol and get the same charts.

Now I am attempting to connect to primary Sierra instance with my C++ client via DTC Binary protocol. This client was working fine with older versions (going back to pre-SCDateTime migration) and now has troubles with modern versions of Sierra.

Here is what I observe: for HISTORICAL_PRICE_DATA_REQUEST of ESZ21-CME between Jan 1, 2021 and Dec 31, 2021 I'm getting HISTORICAL_PRICE_DATA_REJECT with RejectReasonCode=HPDR_GENERAL_REJECT_ERROR and RejectText="Request is not authorized". I have tried to play with different symbols / date ranges. Unfortunately, all comes to the same result.

Could it be something with my Sierra account settings / subscriptions or it is just an issue with my code?

Best regards

This is not allowed by the CME.

Thank you for quick response. How would I load historical data in this case? As MARKET_DATA_REQUEST and the rest?

If it is CME restriction, how secondary instance gets around it?

Thanks

Historical data is not available outside of Sierra Chart. There is nothing we can do to help you. Please do not ask us further questions about CME market data rules. We cannot help the situation with these damn rules. They are absurdly stupid. Do not ask us further about this.

What I do is read the .scid files. I think some others use tcp from within SC. FWIW
