Hi there,

What would be the best way to get the percentage shown in the trading dom which indicates percentage of buy/sell orders into a chart or other such view? Bid & Ask depth bars are useful but they don't give me a representation by percentage.

Thanks

We are not sure exactly what percentage you are looking for.

If you want the percentage of Bid versus Ask depth values, then you can get those by setting Trade >> Chart DOM Settings >> Display DOM Depth Percentages to Yes. This will display the percentages at the top and bottom of the depth values, so you may want to limit the number of displayed values in order to be able to see this easier. Refer to the following for this setting:
Global Trade Settings Windows: Display DOM Depth Percentages (Global Settings >> Chart DOM Settings >> Other >> Other Settings)

And refer to the following for how to limit the number of depth values:
Chart Settings: Maximum Market Depth Levels (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Market Depth menu)

Also refer to the following for another place to show the percentages:
Trade Menu: Draw DOM Graph on Chart (Trade menu)

If you are looking for percentages of trades that occurred at the bid or ask, then you would want to use the Numbers Bars for this. Refer to the documentation here:

Hey there,

I'm looking for the percentages you're referring to on the DOM, but I would like to use these to plot a chart

We are not understanding what you want to do with these percentages. But you can get access to the numbers through the Numbers Bars Calculated Values study, as there are subgraphs for Ask Volume Percent and Bid Volume Percent. Refer to the following for more information:
