What we need you to provide us is the original Alert Formula used on the chart or a study. Here is information about how to access this:

After vaious manipulations of the chart and sudy, the error misteriously disappeared without my knowing which manipulation exactly caused the error to disappear, I will send you a c0py of it if it reappears.
However I did notice I cannaot copy and paste a study line from the alert manger to send you a copy of it. Is it not possible to copy lines from the alert manager?
If, not I will attempt to type verbatum copy of the alert line and send it to you.
on stand by for now.

To copy lines from the Alert Log, you just need to select the lines (click and drag to select multiple lines) then select Edit >> Copy Selected Lines on the Alert Message Log. Refer to the following:

The issue is towards the end of your conditions, where you have the "(-1)" as an offset. That needs to be in brackets, not in parentheses. So it should look like "[-1]".

I've NEVER used bracketss, over the last few years Ive been using Sierra Charts and never had any problems ... ,plus if the error was in the formula... shoud'nt the message have read error formula or error syntax instead of error NAME?
I'll use brackets and advise.
plus as you may note from ths attached pic of my chart and message log,in the same chaet other studies using parentsthes without any errors.
Sorry coudnt copy the chart and message log using chart/edit to post it here,
Thanks

I've change a coulpe of formulasonly to braket vs parentethees , and Im noticing al my formeas in the alert manage changed to brakets for the reference to the prior cell.
Is that a normal thing for all the formulas t change to brackets after changing one or two only? ?

Further to my prior post ,,,A nice outcome of the bracket change in all studies is that no error message appears now in my message log anymore. and the formulas appear t execute better.
seems that the bracket change solved my problem. bup stil I'm puzelled how come All studies changed to brakets after changing only two.?

If you have the studies linked, then that could explain the change. Otherwise, we do not know. We recommend looking through all of them just to ensure that they are correct though.

Make sure the option for Trade >> Trading Locked is not enabled.

Also make sure that whatever method you are using to enter your trades is also enabled (for instance, if you are using Keyboard Shortcuts, make sure the option for Trade >> Trading Keyboard Shortcuts Enabled is enabled).
