In the " Upcoming CME / EUREX Direct Routing" thread it says "We also had discussions with Phillip Capital and AMP for support of this order routing service and we expect the service will be supported with them." Can you please give me an estimate on when you think the Direct Routing service will be supported with AMP? I know the thread says that you expect the Direct Routing will be up and running by the end of this week with Stage 5 Trading, but how much longer do you think it will be until AMP is supported with this Direct Routing? Will it be soon, or will it be weeks or months away yet?

thanks!

We really do not know. All we know is that they are interested in using it. But as to how long it will take to get setup and when we will be able to do the setup, we just can't say.

Thank you. I checked with AMP and it sounds like it could be awhile before they are ready to support the Sierra Charts Direct Routing. So if I want to use my AMP account to trade futures using Sierra Chart, what are the options I have to do that? I've been told that CQG is one option, but I see the thread on the Support Board which talks about a lot of problems with CQG, so that doesn't seem to be a good option. Is Rithmic a good option to use so that I can trade futures using Sierra Chart and my AMP account? If so, can you please direct me to any information on how to get set up with Sierra Chart and Rithmic and AMP? I already have an AMP account and I was trading futures with Sierra Chart and AMP until things changed with TT and this was no longer an option. I was hoping the direct routing service would be an option with AMP, but like I said, it sounds like it will be awhile before that happens.

Edit: I found the following information on using Rithmic. If there is anything else you could provide or that I should be aware of that is not covered in the following link, please let me know.

thanks again

As long as you are using CQG or Rithmic for order routing only, and getting your data from us, then you should be fine. It is when you get into their data feeds where we really have the main issues.

The page you reference above is the right page for Rithmic. That has the Setup Instructions in it. So if you wanted to use Rithmic, you would make sure your AMP account is setup with Rithmic and then follow the instructions on that page to connect your Sierra Chart to your Rithmic account.

If you go with CQG, the following page is the equivalent for CQG:
CQG Trading Platform Service

Again, we can't stress enough that the issues we see are with the data feeds and we really want you to use our data feeds, mainly because we maintain them and we know that they work correctly with Sierra Chart. If you are wanting data from the CME, EUREX or CFE, then refer to the information for the Denali Exchange Data Feed here: Denali Exchange Data Feed

I'm happy to switch to your data feed for CME, CBOT, NYMEX, EUREX, etc. However, you don't provide data for is OSE (the Mini Nikkei contract), and you have said you never will. It seems you are phasing out CQG for data, but you said that CQG could still be used for order routing. Will it be the case later this year or early next year that, since you may not support CQG for data, users won't be able to trade OSE futures, since we can't get data?

You need to get this data from CQG and we are not going to phase out that exchange from CQG.

Data for exchanges that you do not obtain through the Denali Exchange Data Feed, will then come from CQG.

OK, so as long as we are using CQG or Rithmic for order routing only and using Sierra Chart with AMP for futures trading, can you make any recommendations for CQG or Rithmic on which of the 2 is better? or which of the 2 there seems to be fewer problems with in this setup? Or which of the 2 people seem to be happier with?

thanks again

For now we recommend CQG because the new integration we have to Rithmic is still new but it should be fine as long as you use our market data feed.

But we can let others, comment on this.

I haven't used Rithmic in many years. I have no issues with CQG, and I use it because it has all the contracts I want to trade, and the data is fast and reliable, for me.

I'm using both Rithmic and CQG and as long as I use Denali for data, have had no issues with either. I've used CQG more than Rithmic in the last 6 months. Rithmic did have some issues recently with some traders I work with but it was on the data side for them.

CQG for many many years.

All good for me and I could not live further from the US exchanges and data centres.

When you are able to use it, the Sierra Chart Direct Order Routing Service is absolutely superior to CQG for so many reasons:

Fully server managed Bracket orders with ultra low latency.

Smart risk management which avoids rejections when closing positions. This is of the utmost importance. We hear about many problems related to this.

Long-term order fill history with position quantity.

Ultralow latency order routing.

No logon rejections unless you are not authorized.

Redundant Internet connectivity.

No frequent disconnects like CQG assuming you encounter these.

Thanks very much. I look forward to the day when AMP is supporting the Sierra Chart Direct Order Routing Service. Hopefully it won't be too long before that happens
