I've been a client since 2017 I believe and jump back and forth between Sierra and Trade station but I've decided to just stick with what I know Sierra charts since I've used it for so long. But after a few months back my trading account got unassigned or something and every since then I'be been unable to connect to real time date even though I am paying for it.

I've checked with AMP and they just say I've moved everything to Sierra so here I am : )

The issue that you are having is that you need to connect to your live trading account in order to verify your non-professional status for the CME Group.

If you are with AMP, then they should have you setup to use CQG for your order routing with Sierra Chart. If you are not sure, then check with AMP and find out how you are setup with them. If it is CQG, then you should have a set of login credentials. Once you have those, follow these instructions to connect your Sierra Chart to CQG:

If you are going to stay connected to your CQG account in order to trade, then open your chartbooks and select Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service. This will change your symbols to the CQG symbols. You are then ready to use Sierra Chart for your trading with your AMP account.

If you are not going to stay connected to CQG, as you are just using Sierra Chart for your charting, then after you complete the connection to CQG, you can change your File >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Current Selected Service to SC Data - All Services. You will then need to remember to connect to your CQG account at least once a month. Refer to the instructions here:

Thanks John,

I'll check with them but honestly, I thought I changed all of that and was using Sierra Charts order routing since I changed to the Denli data feed.

So if I understand correctly in order for me to Trade and have orders executed I need to use the CQG order routing system and of course, follow the setup instructions. Sierra does not offer order routing is that correct? I don't know why I thought that I remember making the changeover and my AMP contact said if your changing data providers you might as well use their order routing system too. Maybe I misheard.

I'll get with AMP thanks man for the help I was lost.

We did have order routing setup with AMP, but AMP stopped supporting it back around February. You may have been on it at that time, and they were supposed to inform their customers of the change and get them changed over to CQG.

We still do have our Sierra Chart Order Routing Service, but as stated above, it does not work with AMP. We are also working on a new implementation of this where we work directly to the CME Group. In our existing configuration we are working with TT to actually make the connection to the exchange. In the new one, it is all ours. For more information on this, refer to the following:
