Hi,

I am using SC on 2 devices. One is live and I want to use the other one in Sim mode. On the Sim device I have selected Trading Evaluator service. When I click on Trade->Trade Simulation Mode On nothing happens and I get a message "Service Client does not support enabling Simulation Mode." I also tried the delayed version and had the same result. In other words it stays in live mode and it shows my account number. I have 20 simulation accounts in "General Trade Settings".

On the other PC with live trading I have no problem to switch between live and sim mode.

Can someone please help?

What you are trying to do is not allowed within the system. The basic premise is that if you are using the Trading Evaluator, then you are essentially running in a Simulation mode, so therefore Simulation mode is not available.

If you want to be in Simulation Mode, you will need to change your File >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Current Selected Service to SC Data - All Services, or you can set it to your live trading account credentials. In either case, when set this way, you can then be in Simulation mode.

Thank you for the clarification!

I followed you advice and now on one device I am using CQG WebAPI with my live account and on the other device I am using SC Data - All Services with my sim account.

However, this causes the device with CQG WebAPI to stop receiving data. On the device with CQG WebAPI I get the following message: "SC Data - ALL Services| Logon error received from server: Connection limit exceeded.|MaxConnectionsDifferentDevice=1, NumCurrentConnectionsDifferentDevices=2"

In the Account Control Panel of Sierra website it states: "Allowed Systems:  2 out of a total of 3 system(s) are currently being used."

How can I use one live account on one device and a sim account on another device simulteniously?

The issue is with the data feed, not the Sierra Chart software itself. Since you are using 2 different computers you would need to purchase an additional connection to the exchange. This will then charge you twice for the exchange fee. This is a requirement of the exchanges. For more information refer to the following:
Denali Exchange Data Feed: Connections

Note that if you have Sierra Chart installed twice on the same computer then you can access the data in both installations without having to purchase the additional connection.
