I'm not getting intraday chart data for the ES, YM, NQ, and TF,
No chart data for the DX
No chart history data for the ZB, ZN, ZF, and ZT

Probably other data missing in other markets as well.

Also did a symbol refresh several times and cleared out all the 1k data files.

(correction: it appears no chart is getting data when I open it new or rollover)
Something wrong with symbols I'm using CTS data. V1107

Hi,

I have still the same problem. Is it resolved for you now or do you have still the problem? I asked you because would like to know if its only my problem or problem what have more traders. Thanks for answer.

Updated to V1107 went through each chart individually.
Looks like there was some kind of symbol reset.
Have to do full symbol reset then go to each chart and look up the symbol again.

The ICE charts are still not working for me.

I have the same problem, with the same log, but no response to me from SC. I made a post under the subject "login problem", but have since learned that my login is fine but my connection is not. I am relatively new to SC, but I think a connection problem, esp. because it is their own "SC Historical Data" feed, should have a more immediate response from the in house engineers.

They will get back to you. have to be patient.

Make sure you have latest version. At the top should say Sierra Chart 1107. If not go to "help" "download current version"
After update and restart SC go to "global settings" "symbol settings" then click full reset.
After that try pulling up the ES see what happens. Oh and pull up the ES new. If it's existing in a chart book have to look up the symbol again under "chart settings"

I'm using different data but right now all but the ICE charts seem to be working again for me.

This thread is full of posts from various users, each with different issues. While you may think the issue has the same cause, it is different because you are all working with Different Data and Trading services. We will respond to each one separately.

At the moment we are facing issues with CTS T4, OEC, and we did have an issue earlier with our data provider Barchart. We apologize for this, but these are all outside issues.

In regards to post #1:

1. Update Sierra Chart again by selecting Help >> Download Prerelease. This will get you the latest revision of 1107 in case you do not have it.
2. Do not use any expired futures contracts symbols.
3. Do not use the Continuous Futures Contract feature.

4. Reconnect to the data feed with the commands on the File menu.
Update: 5. You need to update the symbols of your charts by following the instructions here: Notice: CTS Trading Service Symbols

All of this is in relation to CTS T4.

Thank you.

Just to let you know. I seem to have everything working except for the ICE charts.
The intraday looks to be working along with the daily chart. I run into problems only when trying to make the ICE daily chart continuous.
All other markets seem to be working now.

Please do not use the Continuous Futures Contract feature when using CTS T4. At the moment in newer versions, it is not supported because of how the CTS T4 system works.

I turned continuous charts off.
Also noticed the sticky for CTS. I'll watch that for updates to the issue.

Thanks

We are going to test ICE now on CTS T4. Let me see what we find.

The ICE security definition request which is now required to use CTS T4 are working properly for us:
CTS T4 - Sending security definition request for symbol TF.20140300.ICE_IN | 2014-03-12 16:29:51
CTS T4: Received 22 security definitions for underlying symbol RF_TAS | 2014-03-12 16:29:51
CTS T4: Received matching security definition for symbol TF.20140300.ICE_IN. Subscribing to data. | 2014-03-12 16:29:51

Although it does not surprise us, with what we see with security definition requests that some users may occasionally run into problems. We also have to handle the scenario of when a security definition is not found for a particular symbol. This is what makes the whole thing very complicated. This is a flawed design on the part of CTS T4. There is no other trading service or trading platform service that we work with, that works like this for outright futures contracts. They are making this very difficult. The whole design increases the likelihood of failures and ongoing issues.

If this means the historical charts work for ICE, they still don't for me.
I can only see the current contract which for the TF is only showing about 3 weeks and the DX about 3 months.
The other ICE contracts will not load continuous data either.
All but the ICE products seem to be working fine.

I have the option of switching to Rithmic but was guided towards CTS based on a SC recommendation.
Should I be looking into the Rithmic option? My only issue now is the CTS mobile website. I can access my trades via my phone which I cannot do with Rithmic.

Do you have open any expired ICE symbols? Or if you are using the Continuous Futures Contract feature, please disable it for now.

Either of these will lead to a problem. Expired contracts will not be updated and also will cause valid current contracts to take a long time to download historical data for.

No open expired contracts. The TF and DX both were opened by themselves no chartbook and no other contracts. I'm opening these 2 contracts new after deleting all data files for them. This is for the June contracts.
They don take long to load The data on the TF is not complete. It does go back into December but it's not showing every trading day. It skips all around. For example goes from 02/03t/14 to 02/11/14.

Yes, this actually makes sense. We see this as well:
http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?l=1394697965878.png

This particular futures contract was not the active contract during that point in time. In any case this is something we would not have control over.

I seem to remember before using continuous charts this is how the data was for these charts.
The front month had little data while the next contract out had even less.
Using continuous charts fixed all that.
Explains why the charts look like this again.
