Occasionally when working with sub-instances, if I change the chart start date I get a chart as in this screenshot: http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1620048540278.png

If I create a new chart with the exact same settings, it appears without issue. If I alter the settings on the corrupted chart (change start date, chart continuous contract settings), it makes no difference. If I duplicate the corrupted chart, the duplicated chart appears as gray vertical bars just like the original corrupted chart.

Any advice?

EDIT1: I do notice that correct values (for ohlc, volume etc) appear to be displayed in the chart values window despite those vertical gray bars being visualized. I am not using OpenGL.

First, when you have the "strange" chart, right-click on the price ladder area and select Reset. That should take care of it.

IF it does not resolve the issue, then the implication is that there is a study that is causing the scales to be off. Refer to the following:
Chart Scale and Scale Adjusting: Chart Bars or Studies Not Completely within View, Not Displayed, or Cut Off. Reset Scales.
