Charbook / Sierra3.cfg file / Missing Control Bars

Hello,

I have a question when I send my charbook together with Sierra3.cfg file, when it is opened in a friends computer some of the control bars disappear others open missing selected control bar commands.

We both are using version 2239 and same operating systems.

The chart has 2 control bars on the right side and 1 control bar on the left.

Any way to be able to send without it having missing control bars or bar commands?

Thanks

The issue may be related to a change in the configuration file we made in 2207, where the configuration is now stored in Sierra4.config. So, if you are not sending the chartbook using the File >> Send File to User, but are sending these separately, then if you are both on versions greater than 2207, then you would need to send the Sierra4.config file.

If you are using the File >> Send File to User and are still having an issue, let us know. This should be sending the correct file, unless one of you is on pre-2207 and the other is post-2207.

John,

Good afternoon,

I tried as stated sending the chartbook via File >> Send File to Userbut it does not send the control bars at all.
If you also send file Sierra4.config same thing.

Could you please check this issue as it is not working either method.

Thank You,

Regards

First, try using File >> Send File to User and select the option for Send Global Configuration, as that will then send the file you want along with the proper configuration file.

But if you are sending both the Chartbook and the Sierra4.cfg file, then that should work. Make sure that the receiver is putting the files into the proper locations. Keep in mind the Chartbook goes into the Data folder under the main installation, but the Sierra4.config file goes into the main installation folder.
