I have to open new support request, as this thread Price Display Format and Range Bars lead to nothing after it was marked as user discussion for reasons unknown, as I expected.

To be clear, I need clarifications about what is written in SC documentation, so I'm expecting to hear from SC foremost, and not other users interpretations or baseless opinions.

In this section Chart Settings: Intraday Chart Bar Period >> Bar Period Type >> Range Per Bar - Standard (in ticks) (Chart >> Chart Settings menu) it's said:
It is necessary that the Price Display Format setting, also on the Chart Settings window, is set correctly for the Symbol when using Bar Period Type >> Range Per Bar.

What is the correct way to set this setting? What should be considered as correct and not? How to check if it is correct?

--------------------------

I have 2 charts of NZDCHF. All settings are the same, tick size 0.000050 and currency value per tick 0.00005, but they have different price display format.

Price display format = 0.0001: http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1615225484810.png
Price display format = 0.00001: http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1615225519493.png

As you can see, they differ quite a lot, different quantity of candles to begin with. So which one should I consider as correct chart?

Refer to the information here:
Number Of Trades, Volume or Range Bar Charts Do Not Match Setting or Are Not Accurate or Are Inconsistent: How Price Display Format Affects Range Bar Charts

In the end, you need to have a Price Display Format that matches to the Tick Size of the chart. If the tick size for the NZDCHF is 0.0001, then your Price Display Format should be 0.0001.

I read this too as I said so in the thread that was marked as user discussion for reasons unknown.

In the end, you need to have a Price Display Format that matches to the Tick Size of the chart.

If tick size is 0.000050, what Price Display Format should be?

As we stated, it needs to match to the Tick Size. So a Tick Size of 0.00005 (5 significant digits) needs to have a Price Display Format of the same number of digits, therefore it should be 0.00001.

1. Images here Number Of Trades, Volume or Range Bar Charts Do Not Match Setting or Are Not Accurate or Are Inconsistent: How Price Display Format Affects Range Bar Charts won't load anymore.

2.
In the end, you need to have a Price Display Format that matches to the Tick Size of the chart.

You say that, but why AUDJPY or CADJPY by default has Price Display Format = 0.001 and Tick Size = 0.01 ?

1. Thank you for the information. We have corrected this and the images are now available.

2. We checked with one of our senior engineers and there is a reason for the settings the way they are. He did not have time to explain why, but there is a reason for it.
