Hi,
In an effort to optimise system speed, I wanted to compress historical data etc.
I compressed historical from 180 down to 60 days.
Thenas suggested on the instructions for optimization, I deleted and redownloaded data on my 62 chartbook.
When I did this, I lost a lot of data from about 1 month back. As a result, my VWAP study is not able to calculate prior value etc or ECI vwap doesnt have teh data to calculate VWAP for forward projection of prior values.
Please help.
I dont think I did this right.
I have gone through the chart interval and DTS settings 3 times in order to try and fix this. I am using CBVs and reloading the chart even when I specify I want say 600 days oin the chart, it doesnt load it back up.

I am willing and would like to go to phone support for this issue as it is the one part of sierra that escapes me in getting right on optimization. I always seem to have adverse effects when using this functionality.
Best
Tim

Will be fastest if we just help you right here.

What we recommend you do is the following:

Set this setting to 1 Second:
Data/Trade Service Settings: Intraday Data Storage Time Unit (Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Common Settings >> Common Settings)

Set both of these settings to 186:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/DataSourceSettings.php#MaxHistoricalIntradayDaysToDownload

Re-download all the data in the chart by going to the chart and selecting "Edit >> Delete All Data and Download". You just need to do this once per symbol and not for each chart.
