Hello,

Does anyone know of a way to color the area between two studies? For example, if I have a 10-day moving average and a 50-day moving average, I would like to shade the area between the two averages green when the 10 day is over the 50. And red when the 10 is below the 50. But not the whole background, just the area between the two studies.

Is this possible? If not I'll write a study and post it.

I know there was some documentation to do this on the SC site a long time ago, but can't find it now.

Thx,
WT

The two averages have to be part of the same study. The easy way to accomplish this is by using the Moving Averages study. It contains 3 averages. The Subgraph for the third one can be set to Ignore.

Cannot think of any way. The study subgraphs that the fill is drawn between have to be part of the same study.

Isn't the Study Subgraphs Reference study meant for this purpose, to get two study outputs into the same study?

However, it seem this study does not correctly reference the subgraphs.

Ok,

So how would I do it with the Moving Averages Study? Change the Draw Style?

Yes. It can be used for this purpose. And the Subgraph referencing is working correctly. We just did a test now. We see no reason why there would be a problem with this.

Here is documentation to fill the area between two study Subgraphs:

The blue lines are two MAs. The magenta lines are the Study Subgraphs References of those MAs. Shouldn't they be the same?

Check the Scale for the Study Subgraphs Reference study. Use Automatic.

I am using two color bar based on alert condition studies . Each study has draw extension line at color bar value (ln:10) and Extension line SG2 in sub graph . I want to fill the 2 extension lines derived from 2 color bar studies by using study sub graphs reference with automatic scale and draw study under main graph but no results . Nothing is coming out . Can you please help me out

What you are trying to do is not supported. Extension lines are not subgraphs, they are drawn separately.

The Subgraph reference to the Extension Lines is to allow for modifications of the styles, but that is all.
