When you select the X in the upper right corner to close the Tool Values Window, it will not close? Or do you not have access to the X for some reason? I can close the window - this is not the problem! the problem is that THE DATA in the window is not updating. it froze... it stuck (the data) |

One of two things is happening: 1. You have open the Chart Values Window and not the Tool Values Window. They are very similar, but the Chart Values Window only shows the information for the most recent bar, whereas the Tool Values Window displays the information for where the crosshair is located. Refer to the information starting here and the item after it: Window and CW Menus: Chart Values Window (Window) 2. The Tool Values Window is open, but you do not have the crosshairs activated, or another tool. If the selected tool is Pointer, then the Tool Values Window will not update as the pointer is moved. we are geting closer... I did open the Tool Values Window. How do I activate the crosshairs activated or any other tool? (On my chart are currently 2 MA's and ATR...) |

Select Tools >> Chart Values/Crosshair. Then make sure that the Tool Values Window is open. Then left-click in the chart to bring up the Crosshairs, and as you move the mouse, the information in the Tool Values Window will change, based on the current position of the crosshairs.
