Hi, how do I setup my account so that I can use CQG's market data feed while using Interactive Brokers for trade executions?

Could we ask for what exchanges you need market data for?

I would like to trade the HSI futures on the HKEX. I've been using CQG's feed and CQG's brokerage for trading but recently they stopped trading HKEX futures. I also have account at Interactive Brokers, but I know for fact that their data feed is not reliable. So I would like to continue using Sierra Chart for trading. I can use either CQG's feed or Sierra's feed and IB as execution. My question is, is it possible to use different sources for feed and trading? If that's the case, how do I set it up? As I can see, in "Data/Trade Service Settings" I can only pick one source (now i've chosen CQG WebAPI trading) but not different brokers for feed and trading. Please advise. Thanks |

My question is, is it possible to use different sources for feed and trading? If that's the case, how do I set it up? Yes this is fully supported. In this case we recommend using the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed which provides Hong Kong futures data: Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed And you can integrate this data feed with Interactive Brokers: Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Integration with Trading Services Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Thank you. I've successfully connected to IB and it shows my account balance and orders in IB. But I still don't quite get it. Since I've chosen IB in "Data Trade Service Settings", how could I use Sierra's data feed when I can only connect to one source at a time? I haven't subscribed to HKEX futures data yet. Other than the $16 US data feed, do I need to activate "real time data connection" too? Thanks |

Sierra Chart is built to allow for data from either your selected trading service or from Sierra Chart. If you have signed up for data from Sierra Chart, then that will be the priority data, but for any exchanges from which you have not signed up to receive data from Sierra Chart you will receive that data from your Trading service. Refer to: Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Integration with Trading Services do I need to activate "real time data connection" too? Yes you do need to activate the real-time connection. For example, if you sign up for the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed and activate the Hong Kong Futures Exchange, then the data from the HKFE will come from Sierra Chart, but all other data will come from IB. Refer to the information for the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed, including Setup Instructions: Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing Date Time Of Last Edit: 2021-01-14 21:31:58
