Hi. I've set up a footprint chart in which particular colors are activated to spot price reversals. Usually, I manually change the Volume at Price Multiples number at Chart Settings for the colors to show at the correct time; otherwise, the colors will not present themselves when I want them to because the Volume at Price Multiples number is too low or too high. Changing the Volume at Price Multiples number depends on how the price action is (the higher the volatility, the higher the number). I'm wondering if there is a way for the colors to show without regularly setting the Volume at Price Multiples number. Thank you.

We do not understand what you are asking, as the Volume at Price Multiplier just aggregates the data at different price levels together. Therefore, it may make things easier to see, but it is not changing the underlying calculations for the coloring. It sounds like you would just need to adjust your scaling settings to see the data with a smaller Volume at Price Multiplier.

If we are not understanding, then please include some screenshots showing what you are (or are not) seeing so we can better understand your issue.

This screenshot shows the colors when I'd like it to (I mainly look at the red for an indication of a potential down-side trend). If all I need to do is adjust the scaling settings, may I know how to do so? If there are additional settings I should be aware of to set price reversals properly, it would be helpful. Thank you for your time.

What we want to understand is what exactly is the information you are wanting to see. It looks like you just want to know the dominant side for the entire bar (Ask or Bid).

If we are understanding this correctly, then we would recommend using the Numbers Bars Calculated Values study and using the Subgraph for Ask Volume Bid Volume Difference and then use the Color Background Based on Value Percentage option which will color the cells Green if the Ask is dominant (positive numbers) and Red if the Bid is dominant (Negative Numbers).
