I'd like to switch to Sierra Chart in January, creating the best integration possible when doing so (long-time futures trader here). I'd like to use SC Order Routing with the Denali data feed (non-pro, combo with market depth), unless you point out a better combination in your reply. Can you please address the following:

o Which IB/FCM should I use, for maximum compatibility and speed with minimum hassle? Specifically, I'd like to not have to toggle between two brokerage accounts monthly in order to satisfy the CME verification requirement. There's mention of opening up a minimally funded account at one brokerage for verification, and using another for trading. Is there a way to simply make this a one-brokerage solution? Would an account with AMP satisfy all these requirements (and allow SC Order Routing)? Is there one in particular you prefer?

o I am not as concerned with attaining the best possible commission rates as I am with execution speed. I make anywhere from 10 to 40 [round-trip] trades daily, and I don't mind paying a few more cents for good performance. I'm also not concerned with super-low day-trade margin; I'm well-funded and fine with standard margin rates. I would, however, like to make use of your other products as they come out - such as your cross-connect (which may eventually replace TT I'm guessing), and your European cross-connect eventually (I live in the US, but have a condo in Spain). I'd like hassle-free transition to these offerings, when the time comes. Does your brokerage + TT recommendation change, based on that? Will we have to find a brokerage that supports authorizing your cross-connect to trade their client account?

o I saw a thread which said we needed to make sure the broker we selected allowed automated trading. This is also a requirement for me... the reason I'm moving to Sierra Charts is because I'm getting tired of coding strategies in GoLang and having to do all the heavy lifting myself (D3js charting, IBKR FIX interface, etc). So, again, it would help if the one IB/FCM satisfied all these requirements and was on good terms with Sierra.

o One final unrelated thing... in reading about ACSIL, I get the impression that all sub-charts/studies running under a particular trading strategy must utilize the same timeframe. Is this correct? In other words, if I create a trading strategy, it cannot grab results from a 4 hour chart, 15 minute chart, and trade tick chart simultaneously. Did I interpret that correctly? I'm not familiar with ACSIL yet, or its limitations.

Thank you in advance, and happy holidays.

If you create it yourself, there are no restrictions (for both tests and live trading). It's a C ++ language, anything is possible ....

If you are going to use the Back test from Sierrachart then there is a limit for one chart without the overlay value function (Backtest is an OHLC tester ... beware).

If you use Replay from Sierrachart then there are no restrictions outside the length of the tested data (too long period will be very lengthy to test and at higher speeds the results may not be accurate).

For most tests and basic validation of the functions used here, Replay is enough for 99 percent people .... Read the documentation carefully. There are several types of Replay settings ....

note.
If you want to hire a programmer for strategies I recommend:

good luck

This is a good and recommended combination.:
Sierra Chart / Trading Technologies Futures Order Routing Service

There's mention of opening up a minimally funded account at one brokerage for verification, and using another for trading.
This will not be necessary in your case since you will be using the Sierra Chart Order Routing Service.

Which IB/FCM should I use, for maximum compatibility and speed with minimum hassle?
Anyone listed at step 2 here:

Compatibility and speed is not affected by the particular firm/broker you use.

All of this is not dependent on the particular firm/broker use. You will always have the best connectivity and any improvements made, you will automatically take advantage of those.

We are not aware of any broker not supporting automated trading. But ask them.
