Does the OHLC Study (set to months, and 1) go back a fixed number of days, or does it examine the actual prior month for O, H, L and C?? I've noticed sometimes at the very end of the month (like on Monday 11/30) It was showing the "previous month" close moving with the current price - it thought prior month close was the current price throughout the day.

I want the values for the PRIOR month - I don't care how many days are in any given month.

Attached is the chart file. Set the replay to November 30th at US open.

The "Prior Month Close" line follows current price, changing with every tick.

This is not the first anomaly I've seen. Sometimes the "Prior Month Close" and "Prior Week Close" studies on that chart are off by a month (week) as well. This usually clears up when the month (week) changes. It seems to me that it might be looking back a certain number of days to find the "prior" month (week). Clearly, this is some sort of edge case issue.

Maybe I'm using the wrong studies, or using them in an unanticipated way. I just want these these values marked on the TPO chart without having to do it manually.

Pls advise.

What we see looks completely correct:

once the evening session of November 30 is encountered, the trading day date is December 1 so the prior month close will be for the profile immediately before that. This is what we are seeing. It is not following the current price.

Start the playback AT US OPEN ON NOVEMBER 30th. That would be 9:30 EST... that's hours before the NOV 30th Globex starts.

Have you duplicated it with the correct starting times?

Need some resolution or at least a status on this.

We see what you are seeing, but the base problem is that you should not be using those studies directly on a TPO chart. Instead, you will want to have a standard chart and put your OHLC studies on the standard chart and then use the Study/Price Overlay to get that data onto the TPO Chart. Refer to the information here:
