DPL in Trade Window not matching P&L in Trade Activity Log - throwing off Global P&L Mgm

I kept having my trades closed w/o the corresponding order fill closure mark on my chart. I couldn't figure it out until I opened the Global P&L Mgmt. dialogue box and saw the notice that I had been flattened due to reaching the daily loss limit. But the daily loss limit was set at -$500.00 and my P&L on the Trade Activity Log showed less than that. THEN, I looked at my DPL on my Trade Window and it was roughly twice what it should be so I figured that was the problem. I have went through every setting I can think of including updating the symbol settings but no luck. I am using market replay and taking the exact same trade each time as I attempt to correct the problem. My charts are all set to ESZ20-CME/MESZ20-CME. After these two trades I'm -30pts on the Trade Activity Log and -58pts on the Trade Window. |

Okay, I made a little progress. I went through the "Incorrect or Inconsistent Profit/Loss Value" link a couple times. Symbol settings have always been accurate but this time I went ahead and hit the "Apply Global Symbol Settings" button. When I did it before it deleted the symbol: MESZ20-CME, from the "Trade and Current Quote Symbol" field. I thought that behavior was weird so I never saved it. This time after I hit the apply button, I went ahead and reinputted the MES symbol and hit okay. The DPL on the chart and the Trade Window almost came in line with the Trade Activity Log. But they still don't match. I'm doing a replay also so there shouldn't be any fills missing. I did one trade and closed it as a scratch. My P&L on the Trade Activity Log is 0.00. But the DPL on the charts and Trade Window reads -1.40P. When I went into Chart Settings and changed the "Profit/Loss Format" to Currency the DPL showed -70.00C. This means it is not using MES, but ES when calculating P&L. It does this even though I have ES in the Symbol field and MES in the "Trade and Current Quote Symbol" field, with "Use As Trade Only Symbol" checked. Also, "Currency Value Per Tick" is now 12.5, instead of what it was before I hit "Apply Global Symbol Settings". I changed it back to 1.25 per tick and hit apply and the DPL remains at -70.00C. So now I'm really confused. |

#15 Select Chart >> Chart Settings >> Advanced Settings 3. Uncheck Use Symbol Commission Setting in Trade List and Statistics Calculations to remove the commission calculation from the Daily Profit/Loss value in the chart which avoids any unnecessary confusion when understanding the calculation result.
