Chart Trading - Single click order entry?

Hi,

Is it possible to place an order directly on the chart with a single click by using some hotkey to 'arm' the click.
Example- I hold down 'Ctrl+Alt' and left click above price to execute a long at my cursor position, or click below price to short at my cursor position; and would use my attached order?

I've looked through the materials at Chart Trading and the Chart DOM: Chart Trading
as well as some older posts on this question- but could not find a clear answer.

Currently I have the Chart DOM open and have my crosshair cursor extended outwards, and I hover over the DOM to click and place the order when needed- however this has made me miss trades in the past as I need to be looking at the bar on the chart when placing my order and I have by accident drifted my cursor off the column I need to click in the DOM.

Cheers

Have a look at this Chart Setting:
Chart Settings: Extend Chart DOM Across Entire Chart When Using Ctrl(Buy) / Shift(Sell) (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Trading menu) (Extend Chart DOM Across Entire Chart When Using Ctrl/Alt)

Is there a way to modify the order arming key 'Ctrl or Alt'.
The suggested feature works well for me, but I am running into this issue:
I am drawing a trendline on the chart using the Line tool, and hold down the 'Ctrl' key to get it to snap at an 90degree angle so I can draw it straight- the problem is once I left click to place the trendline- it also places an order.
Can we modify the key combination to require something like a 'Shift+Ctrl' or 'Shift+Alt' to avoid a snafu?

Or- vice-versa, modify the way of getting a drawing to 90' align with a different key, e.g. Shift.

No there is not a way to change those particular keys.

We will solve this in the next release:
I am drawing a trendline on the chart using the Line tool, and hold down the 'Ctrl' key to get it to snap at an 90degree angle so I can draw it straight- the problem is once I left click to place the trendline- it also places an order.

Just another note-
While I was testing out this 'Ctrl or Alt' option, I noticed something that might be behaving abnormally-

When this feature is active, and I am moving the crosshair around the chart- when I press 'Alt' and then let go of 'Alt'- the crosshair stalls on the chart and freezes where it was at the time I let go of the 'Alt' key.
This does not happen when using the 'Ctrl' key.

This might be something related to operating system behavior which we have no control over.

Hi,

Wondering if you have updated the feature to modify the Crtl / Alt key as mentioned in the psot # 104268 of this thread? If yes, where I can find these to modify?

Thanks

I have enabled the one click order entry from the chart, there are preconfigured keys to order directly from the chart (picture attached of the default keys configuration). I would like to change as Crtl + left mouse click is a very risky key, if I by mistake used to while using the drawing tolls or price scale zoom in out etc it is triggering an order (very unsafe).

I would like to change it with combination like alt + shift + left click or etc.

Hope you get my point.

Configure the Chart DOM order entry as you require:
Global Trade Settings Windows: Chart DOM Settings

And then if you are using this option, how that works is explained here:
Chart Settings: Extend Chart DOM Across Entire Chart When Using Ctrl(Buy) / Shift(Sell) (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Trading menu)

If this still does not meet your requirements, then you cannot do exactly what you want. In which case just simply use the Chart DOM for order entry. It is that simple. And do not use the above option.
