When using the Sierra Chart Order Routing Service, Server 5 now refers to Northwest USA with routing to TT in Chicago. This may be a good server to use if you are in the Asia-Pacific region.

We are also going to offer as soon as we can, forwarding of orders to our servers in Chicago that are directly cross connected to TT and later on the CME. This is so you can take advantage of low latency server-side managed orders.

Server 5 previously was a server in Singapore which was discontinued due to concerns of reliability. And was temporarily changed to one of our servers in Germany. It now refers to the above server.

Current server table can be found here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChartOrderRoutingServiceWithData.php#SetupInstructions

Our location in the Northwest USA, is a dedicated co-location space in the Westin building:

These are our own high-performance servers with very redundant Internet connectivity. This is a data center with international connectivity with a subsea cable into the Asia-Pacific region terminating there:

https://www.pc1.com/

This is a very different configuration to what we had in Singapore which something that proved to be less than reliable. We understand Rithmic has a server in Singapore. If you are trading US markets, and not Asian markets, we believe this is of no value at all. What we provide with our order routing service and the Denali data feed is superior now that we have implemented compression and control over the buffer timing.

It is really remarkable, the speed achievable over these subsea fiber-optic cables. While this article is not specifically about subsea cables, it shows the speed achievable over fiber:

For people trading US markets or European markets and who are in Asia, we do not believe it really it is of any use at all to have servers within Asia. It is more than sufficient, just to have a server at or near the main communication links between the continents. Even this is not essential, but it does eliminate unnecessary hops, and potential problems in between.

Without going into background details, this was also confirmed to us by users in China of our services.

what about traders located in western Europe and UK, who trade USA futures markets and also Eurex in Frankfurt, GErmany and using SC Order Routing and SC Denali Market Data - what are the recommended SC servers ?

specify separately for:

a) USA futures markets
b) Eurex

Have a look at the Server Table here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChartOrderRoutingServiceWithData.php#ServerTable

For trading EUREX, you will want to use a separate installation of Sierra Chart set to use the trading server in Germany.

And then when we have the new EUREX feed available on the Denali feed, that will come out of Frankfurt. There will be nothing special you would need to do, that will be the only place it will come from.

For trading US markets, you can use trading Server 1 or Server 2.

yes i know that server table and there is a "London" server there and i am based in London, UK - but still (along with all other European traders) supposed to use SErver 1 and Server 2 which are USA based right ?

Re separate SC instance for Eurex:

my current setup:

SC Order Routing
SC Denali Market Data for USA Futures Markets
SC Data for Eurex

if i launch a separate SC instancewhich established a second direct independent connection to SC Data (in addition to teh Denali one) and SC Order Routing would it work with your current licensing polcies in the follwoing scenarios:

a) on the same machine as the SC instance for USA markets and Denali datafeed
b) seperate machine

Yes for trading the CME markets.

Yes so long as the EUREX data is only used in a single installation of Sierra Chart.
