@Sierra Chart Engineering

I am using Sierra Chart Version 3168 and working with onn@trade29.com to create a custom study that automatically draws rectangles using the Sierra Chart Drawing API (the same API that is used to manually draw rectangles on the chart via the rectangle tool), not the GDI Api.

The issue we are having is that Market Depth Historical Depth Graph study has priority over the style used to draw the rectangles. This is preventing the drawings from being overlayed on the Market Depth Historical Graph study. As a result when the Market Depth Historical Graph study is added to the chart the rectangles are covered by the Market Depth Historical Graph and cannot be viewed with the Market Depth on the chart as intended.

We've tried the check box for "Draw Study Underneath Main Price Graph" on and off for both the custom study and the Market Depth Historical Graph Study. And also tried the "Draw Advanced Custom Study Drawings Above Other Drawings" setting in Chart Setting > Advanced Settings. We were unable to resolve the overlay issue with either setting. See attached image for example.

Is there something that can be done on your end to resolve this matter?

Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Thank You

How are those rectangles drawn? Are they considered Chart Drawings? It looks like they are drawn by Study Subgraphs.

Performing a quick test, we are not seeing any issue and Study Subgraph Draw Style rectangles are shown above by default:

The Rectangles are drawn with Chart Drawings. In this custom study the Market Depth Historical Graph draws over the chart drawing rectangles. Is there something that can be done to resolve this so that the chart drawing rectangles overlay above the Market Depth Historical Graph?

Thank You

Then we have to ask the basic question - is the option for Draw Highlight Drawings Underneath Main Graph and Studies enabled? You want to have this disabled. Refer to the information here:
Chart Settings: Draw Highlight Drawings Underneath Main Graph and Studies (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Chart Drawings menu)

Yes, the "Draw Highlight Drawing Underneath Main Graph and Studies" setting was enabled. Unchecking the check box corrected the issue and the drawings now appear above the "Market Depth Historical Graph" as intended.

Your assistance is much appreciated.

Thank You
