Customer is not able to run a 2nd instance of Sierra Charts

They are getting the following error messages within the logs.

Error getting address info for download2.sierrachart.com. Windows error code 11002: This is usually a temporary error during hostname resolution and means that the local server did not receive a response from an authoritative server. | 2020-07-09 09:24:09.517 *
Failed to download software update due to an error. Request ID: 1. | 2020-07-09 09:24:09.517 *

The customer is saying it was working fine this morning, were there any recent changes that might be causing this particular issue?

Well first in regards to additional instances have them update:

Software Download: Fast Update

That is necessary to be able to use sub instances if they are running an older version.

This error is a DNS error on the users side:

They would need to consult with their ISP about this or try again:
