My broker is AMP Futres, and they offer AMP/TTnet as a free data feed for Sierra Chart. I know you pay for what you get, but could you advise what is the difference between this data feed and http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/SierraChartRealTimeFuturesStockDataFeed.php

I intend to be on package 5 for order flow analysis, TPO, and profiling.
Thanks.

The only practical difference is that with the Sierra Chart Real-time and Historical Data feed, there is very accurate Bid Volume and Ask Volume which is used with studies like Numbers bars. The Bid Volume and Ask Volume with AMP/TTNet really is much less than accurate.

Thanks for the response. Aside from cost, what is the difference and benefits between the following:

http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/SierraChartRealTimeFuturesStockDataFeed.php

http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/DTNIQFeed.html

Thanks.

This is a very hard question for us to answer. Data feeds are very complex services.

We prefer that you use the Sierra Chart data feed. It is overall going to be more reliable.

Thanks for the above response. Through my research so far I can only conclude that data feed questions are hard to answer and a complex topic.

I finally have a SC username and password from my broker (AMP Futures) using AMP/TTnet.
Now what do I do? Should I uninstall and re-install SC and start all over?

Hello,

The $40 subscription fee for package 5, do I pay that to Sierra Chart directly or is it paid through my broker account, to SC? Same for the upgraded data, do I pay SC directly?

There is no need to reinstall.

Follow the instructions here:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/AMPTTNet.php#SetupInstructions

You do pay Sierra Chart directly for this. You can pay here:

OK thanks. I will follow the instructions now.

I asked about the fees because AMP is charging me $25/month to use SC. To be clear, I will pay fees directly to SC at the following rates: $40USD (package5) + $35 USD (data) totalling $75USD per month.

The $25 AMP charges is an additional fee?

You do not pay AMP any fees. That would only be if you were to use Sierra Chart provided through them.

Yes. This is a correct understanding.

Ok. They must be under the impression I'm using SC through them. I spoke with them today about that and they were not helpful at all. Will call them again tomorrow.

I followed the set up instructions from the link provided earlier. The server drop down menu is all blank.

I chose AMP/TTNet under service drop down menu. Placed the correct Sender Comp ID and PW with TT_PRICE as the target comp ID. What am I missing or doing wrong?

Also, I do want to use the SC data.

The way to approach it with AMP is tell them you want Sierra Chart package 3 and therefore you will not pay anything and disregard any Sierra Chart login information they give you.

For the Server , we have set that for you on your account now. You just need to restart Sierra Chart.

To use the Sierra Chart Futures data feed, follow the step-by-step instructions here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/SierraChartRealTimeFuturesStockDataFeed.php#SetupInstructions

What do I do with the login they gave me today for package 5?

I followed the steps for SC futures data feed and just waiting approval. Thanks.

I have asked AMP to cancel the login details for package 5 and requested a package 3 login and password, knowing them this should take a few days.
I have subscribed to SC package 5 and SC real time and historical data directly through SC website.

What do I do in the mean time?
Do I need to inform them I want to use SC real time and historical futures data feed? I ask because on their online portal to select data they do not have this as an option they only have: CQG or AMP/TTnet.

You will be able to use your current Sierra Chart package that you pay through directly to us and the Sierra Chart Real-time data feed. Are you having any trouble connecting Sierra Chart to your AMP account?

Do I need to inform them I want to use SC real time and historical futures data feed?
No. Please do not mention this to them. It will only confuse things. You only need to specify AMP/TTnet.

Yes.
Could the issue be related to logging in from a trial account? I got an email from SC accounting today. It advised, on the SC launch login pop up window I should click cancel and change account name to AMP account # and input AMP password. Doing this did not help, was what they were asking me to do?

LOL! Yes, that is absolutely true.
I spoke with AMP today and the informed me that I don't need another login/password to use package three, that is, the package 5 login/password they gave me, yesterday, will also work for package 3.

Under account management I see the following message:
Direct payments are not supported for your account type.
If you wish to pay for Sierra Chart directly,
please create your own account. After your account is created,
to log into the software using your own account information,
follow these instructions.
What does this mean? I thought I paid SC directly yesterday for package 5 and the SC data? Please Help!

Also why is my name on these post changed? This is getting weird?

Thanks, that was quick. It so easy to do things once you know how.

The numbers bars calculated values, time axis. Is there a similar tool for price bars calculated values?
A tool to calculate statistics along the price axis like it does along the time axis?
