We have a v big problem. This is now the second day in a row that SC has frozen and I have had no ability to do anything to unfreeze it other than restarting computer and forcing a shut down of program. This occurs when I try and enter an order quickly on the DOM that puts me over my limits. I have limit of just 2 lots so if I have one on offer lets say and the market moves down and I try and click on the dom to market in and I exceed the limits a large rectangular box opens telling me I am over my limit. That is fine and what it has done the past few months. But now today and yesterday the entire program freezes. You click anyway and it is dead, frozen.

What is this all about, what can I seen you so you see the logs, I am stupid and don't know how to do it, but something is going v v v wrong here.

thank you

This flat out makes no sense at all. There must be something else going on that we are not aware of. There is no log file that is relevant here.

When you notice this, press the Escape key on your keyboard. Go to the different visible windows of Sierra Chart, and then press the Escape key.

I will try the escape key. Again it only happens when I am trying to quickly enter orders on the DOM and I go over the 2 lot limit. You get the large white rectangular box which pops up saying 'over limit blah blah'. Normally when this happens I must first click and close the large white box(which I find incredibly irritating as it means I cannot do anything with order entry until I first close the pop-up box) then I can go and cancel an order so that I can enter a new order at the price I am chasing.

What happened yesterday and today is when that large pop warning box opened the entire SC froze. I kept thinking it would unfreeze in a few seconds. NO frozen, dead, nowhere was it responding to the mouse. You cannot even go to the X in the corner and close the program. DEAD...As you know from our history I am stupid re tech and all I could think of as nothing, not a single part of the SC windows was responsive was to restart the computer to force the program to close. Also, the screen did NOT grey out, they continue to look normal but are dead.

I will try the ESC if it happens again and take a photo with my phone so you can see what it looks like.

We apologize for the delay. The Escape Key is not going to be helpful in this condition.

We have responded here about this:
SC is crashing and freezing as i told you weeks ago

The first step is to update Sierra Chart to the current version.
