URGENT - Random Positions Being Auto Entered without My Control - LMAX

Hello,

This morning on EURUSD with LMAX, my SC chart was randomly showing orders being entered, and I was not entering these orders. However I was later to discover that these were not actually live orders as I logged in and eventually checked on my LMAX client control panel.

Prior to knowing this I would then close out the phantom orders from my chart, and then this action would open live positions through LMAX but on my chart it would show the phantom order being closed out and having nothing open (when I actually did).

SC and LMAX are out of sync, and it has caused me a bit of concern not actually knowing what was open. As mentioned I had to log into the LMAX portal and manually close everything out.

As of this writing I have a phantom order open on EURUSD, but my LMAX client portal is not showing this as being open. So I am going to leave it open on my chart otherwise the flatten and cancel action in SC will open a live position.

Can you please advise what you need to investigate this issue?

Here is an example screen shot.

1. It started when it showed there was a position carried over from yesterday which is impossible as I never carry positions over (and you can see this in my LMAX trade confirmation anyhow). I then closed that position out on the chart but this actually opened a live order which I was unaware of until it suddenly popped up onto the chart.
2. I went through a series of these open and close situations, until I closed everything out on the portal.
3. As you can see from this snapshot this is showing there is a position open. But in fact there is not. So I left this open otherwise the closing process would open another live position.

In the second image as I have changed the time frame on the chart, suddenly the phantom position disappears, and all the sell orders have changed to buy orders. This is not making sense.

What you are seeing is explained here:

LMAX Trading Service: How Current Trade Positions Are Determined

There is nothing wrong here. You just need to understand how Position reporting works.

Ok I have read this, but it does not explain how randomly SC showed me that suddenly out of nowhere an open position carried over from the day before appeared on my chart (to reiterate, suddenly and from nowhere), which kicked off the process of me "closing" this trade, which in fact was not real, which caused me to open a live position (which SC thought was actually closing a position)? This is what is mentioned in post #1.

Without this occurring, I would have never had to "close" the fake position, which kicked off the whole scenario.

My concerns stand:
- A fake position appeared suddenly from nowhere on my chart. This was a concern, so I closed this fake position thinking at the time it was real.
- By closing the fake position, it actually opened a live position which I then could not see on SC. I had to close the live position through the LMAX client portal!
- What's worse is the live position I opened through the flatten and cancel function I used to close the fake trade, had NO STOP ORDERS ATTACHED TO IT.

How does this document explain how this happened? Or did I not understand something here?

We have prepared this relevant documentation for your questions:
LMAX Trading Service: Understanding Position Reporting Problems and Solution

So at this time, you have to answer your own questions. We will not. We are 100% declining all further support here in relation to this.

Please understand this position limitation is due to how LMAX FIX works. We are not your broker and have no economic relationship to your trading. It is fully within the control of LMAX to add position reporting over FIX but they do not. This is just not our issue in any way.
