Hi,
After updating to the lastest released version. My historical graph chart keep going blank and I have to reload all charts to get it back on. Sometimes I have to do it twice before the graphics come back. Is there a fix for this problem? Please help.

One possible situation is related to using the option for Extend Last Known Depth. If this is enabled and you scroll beyond where the last visible depth data was located, then the data will no longer fill in.

If the above is not your issue, then please attach a chartbook that has the chart that is having this problem to this thread. You will find the instructions to do this here:

Your Main Price Graph scale is set to "Independent". It should be set to "Automatic", which is the same as the Market Depth Historical Graph settings. Refer to the information here about scaling:

I went into to the scale and the settings (scale range) has always been automatic. I have another chart running the same set of studies which I didn't attach. Main Price Graph scale of that one is also automatic. I already reset back to global settings and see how it goes though I don't think that's the problem.

When/if you have the same problem with the Market Depth Historical Graph disappearing, check the Main Price Graph scale at that time and see what it is set to. It should not change, but it appears as though it is changing to Independent.

We are also testing this with your Chartbook, but we need to wait for this to happen again as well.

It already appeared several times in the last 2 days, and every single time I checked the scale it has always been automatic

We have been running your Chartbook and have not been able to reproduce the issue since the first time it happened to us, which at that time was showing a Scale setting of Independent.

We will see if we can reproduce this ourselves. But if you can supply the Chartbook at the time that you have the problem that would be helpful. Just attach it like you did previously.

Hi, please find the chartbook that is having the problem. It seems like this issue occurs more regularly compared to previous week.

At the time that you saved the last chartbook that you attached, was the Market Depth properly displayed, or had it disappeared?

I saved after the depth disappeared. as of now, it's still missing on the chartbook that I uploaded since I haven't hit the reload and recalculate button.

We are still unable to reproduce the issue.

The next thing we need to know is whether there is anything specific in the Message Log when this occurs. We are wondering if this is a memory issue. Please attach your Message Log to this thread the next time this occurs. Follow these instructions to attach the log:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/PostInformation.php#MessageLog

Also, check your computer's Task Manager to see if there is a shortage of resources, particularly memory.

I check the messsage log and it said depth counldn't load possibly because my PC ran out of memory. The depth accounted for 5.59gb of memory and will be unavailable until the chart is reloaded. This doesn't make sense since I have 32gb of Ram and max usage is about 43%. Sierra uses less than 1Gb. In terms of disk space I have plenty left as well. So not sure how this happened.

Also hit the submited button so you may have a look. Cheers

This is not within the control of Sierra Chart. You have to contact Microsoft about this.

Memory is allocated in smaller increments in newer versions for the Market Depth Historical Graph. This could help to some extent but in general it would not.
