Hi!
Is it possible to reduce width of DOM's price column?
Basically its necessary when Chartbook contains several DOMs. Price column takes a lot of space

The Price column is not changeable. It is automatically set the size of the prices that are displayed.

I understood it.
But for traders who trade (monitor) several DOMs( could be more than 10) it is very important to keep smaller sized DOMs in sight. In that case it is needed to adjust size/scale/font. The only one column cannot be changed (reduced) is the price column.
There are some examples below - SC's DOM and TT's.
You will have an idea of what I'm talking about it.
It was also requested earlier by SC's clients.

Select Chart >> Reload and Recalculate and see if it becomes more narrow. The width is automatically managed and is reset on a reload.

I know about this option, but it will reduced the price column just a little . It will not help much. The point is to make changeable the price column.
Pls check my pictures and compare. Also I don't need to display all numbers of the price, such as 0.93425.

Pls check my new picture. This is TT platfom's DOMs.
As you can see the price column can be reduced as much as needed. There are very small DOM's.
In SC it is not possible to do similar layout only because we cannot change the price column.

There is a workaround for this. If you put the price column on the left you can reduce DOM window size and the price column will be also reduced..that way you can also cut part of the price you don't want displayed. See this thread. Dom price displayed

Thank you! But this is not exactly the same.
Btw, I'm not alone in this changing. The guys who familiar with TT platform can easily understand me.
To SC-staff pls implement these settings, it has been many requests since 2013:

Dom price displayed

"Where were you guys 7 years ago when I needed the extra voices? LOL j/k
I never found a solution for this but haven't tried since I stopped scalping bonds years ago. I recreated most of the TT UI in Sierra (I even built my own EPIQ), but just not the DOM price display part. '

SC guys answered around 1 month ago:

"The setting exists but it is not yet implemented. We will get to this as soon as possible. "

I will be waiting for it!

It may be not exactly the same but it gets the job done :) You have got to undersand the complexity of developing a software and that not every feature you would like to see will be implemented. Also, if a competing firm has a feature you like, you should know they may have had a head start in developing it and are spending much more resources. That is the case with TTs X trader. It was one of the first professional trading platforms which established a standard on how a DOM should look like and work. But it is in development for probably 20 years, and it comes with a hefty price tag. So no surprise it has many features others don't yet have. But SC is doing a fantastic job improving the platform. So, you have to be resorceful to find a solution yourself if it is not immediately available.

The beauty of SC is that it enables you to find a decent workaround until the actual update is released.

It sounds good, but it has already passed 7 years.
In my personal case I did stop using SC for execution because I couldn't create layout that I needed and it was all about DOM,DOM scale/size/price and managing resting limit orders.
Execution and DOM displaying are important things!
As I said before, ppl who familiar with TT could easily understand me. But for traders who trade charts or/and 1-2 instruments with couple of DOM's its not an issue.

Look, I understand you. I use only DOMs and have more than 20 open. But this is not a dealbreaker. Great things about SC far outweigh any drawbacks. For one, the exceptional quality of the code and the speed and the stability of the platform. At the end of the day it is not the tool that makes you a good trader.

The setting for Chart Settings >> Advanced Settings 3 >> Limit Price Displayed To N Right Characters is now implemented and functional. You will find the documentation for this here:
Chart Settings: Limit Price Displayed to N Right Characters (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Display >> Chart Display Items menu)

OK, but it makes zero sense if price column size still cannot be controlled ( to make it narrow)

Can you please make the price column width customizable!

It's very important to be able to keep DOM column width as small as possible when trading with multiple DOMs.

+1, for:

- To make it fit the required space exactly
- Or to define a adjustable padding (number of spaces left/right) elsewhere in the settings (ok, not very convenient)
- Or to make the width user adjustable (same as with all the other columns)

For me, this is not only about "wasting space", it also has something to do with my field of vision (distance of my eyes?). I can't see the area with a price column (4 digits left only) in the middle and 2 outer columns completely (unless I reduce the font, but then it becomes too small).

By the way, SC is great :)
