I am trying to open a pre-existing .CHT file I have from 2003. I'm getting this report log(below) when I try to connect, is this the reason I cannot view the doc? If so how do I fix it? If not, what is the issue? All feedback and suggestions are widely received as this doc is very important to me.

Thanks in advance

You are running a very old version of Sierra Chart. It is about more than two years old and 280 versions behind. With software technology, this is eons old. Update Sierra Chart by selecting Help >> Download Current Version.

It says it is not a valid Chartbook file. Do you just have one copy of that Chartbook file?

I have now attached the file I'm trying to open so that you may be able to get a better idea of how to solve the situation.

NOTE: The attachment has been made private for obvious reasons, on the assumption that moderators can still access them. If not please state and I will revert it to public.

Thanks

This is definitely not a Sierra Chart Chartbook. Looking inside of it, it looks like some kind of address book.

We have deleted the attachment for security reasons.

After re-reading your last post, how were you able to 'look inside' the document? As that is what I'm trying to do, I currently cannot open the chart!

Thanks!

With a binary editor. That file is most definitely not a Sierra Chart Chartbook. No doubt about that. It looks like an address book.
