Downloading data not working

On opening charts and doing download the message download complete appears but no data downloaded. The message log says there was

'Error downloading historical data. The network socket has been closed. Retrying.'

thanks for your help as not sure what to do.

You may need to use port 80. But another problem is you are running a version which is using a protocol which we are in the process of discontinuing. That does not appear to be the problem because it is still currently supported. Nevertheless, please update by selecting Help >> Download Current Version.

After the update is complete, if you still see messages like this in the Message Log:
HD Request # 13 - Error downloading historical Intraday data for US30. The network socket has been closed. Retrying download.

then follow the instructions here to use port 80:
