Order does not cancel with IB

I cancelled an order (chart) trading with IB, but the order remains in the chart and it keeps saying "Pending Cancel".
How do I cancel this order and why does this happen?

Check your order presets in TWS. It may be that your exceeding your size limitations.

The core problem is an unreliable order interface from Trader Workstation.
In this particular case what you need to do is to select Trade >>Refresh Trade Data From Service.
