I found 2 bugs with the latest release 2096.

1st: ChartBooks do not save. I will make minor changes to sub-graphs and they will appear and stay until I close Sierra Charts and restart. Then I need to re-do the changes made. So I tried saving the study set collection and reloading that and I am back to the original Chart with no changes saved. So the study set collections are not saving changes either.

2nd: While adjusting the chart update interval on the individual chart to 1ms since its a DoM, the setting reverts back to zero (global) setting. The only number that will stick is anything greater than the global setting. ie, Global setting under Global settings>>General Settings>>general 1 tab is 500ms. If I put in 566 in the chart>>chart settings>>advanced settings tab, chart update interval will actually stick and will not default to zero.

I cant revert back to the older version because all my chartbook are now not reverse compatible. I understood this going in.

I did find a couple old posts about chart books not saving but they were file naming convention issues. I used no special characters other than an underscore.

1. This is not correct or there might be a problem with an individual setting. Just tell us one particular setting you are referring to that is not saving.

We do not observe any problem with Study Collections either. All settings are saved and restored. If there is an issue with one particular setting let us know what that is.

There is a backup made of the version of your Chartbooks before it is saved in the new format. "Backup2092" is added to the file name in the copy of the file made. This copy of the Chartbook can be used in earlier versions. It is directly contained within the Data folder for immediate access. No need to go to the Backups folder.

You can go back into a prior version of Sierra Chart with Help >> Install Previous Version. In the installer, make sure the Specific Version box is set to 2092.

Once the previous version is installed, you can then open your Chartbook's that have the name: [Chartbook name].Backup2092.Cht. You can then do a Save As to save back to the original name.

2. There is no problem with this either. A 1 ms value is not valid. Refer to the documentation here for that setting:
Chart Settings: Chart Update Interval in Milliseconds (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Display >> Chart Update Interval menu)

Thanks for the information regarding bug #2. The thing about this issue was it had to be greater than the min global setting. So I never seen the 10-60000 setting because this wasn't normal behavior. Intuitively the global setting should not effect the individual chart setting which is the design intent(now that I have the new update I can clearly see that). Not to mention, albeit its is bad to assume but, if you can set the global to 1ms then the individual chart should also be capable of the same settings. This inherently would induce less confusion on the users part. Why allow 1ms global and not on individual charts? Doesn't compute with me? If 10ms is all that is allowed globally prior to the update this morning then it was just a bug and now its fixed. I currently have no issue with the new release. My chartbook changes are being saved and Chart intervals are being saved as well at 10ms. Yesterday this was not the case.

Thank you for your timely response. This ticket is resolved.

P.S. The global setting for chart update interval can be set to 1 ms. But my chart interval can only be set to 10ms. So this is functioning by design.

This is definitely not true:
. The thing about this issue was it had to be greater than the min global setting
There has not been any changes with this in any version. Nothing was changed or fixed at all related to this. What you are describing is an impossibility.

A 1 millisecond update interval is never allowed globally or for the chart.
