Margin Requirements for Micros

I'm probably missing something in the symbol settings, but it seems that the margin requirement for both ES and MES (at least on the futures trading evaluator) is $1200 for both symbols. I see that there is a multiplier in various places, but I haven't been able to correct this issue.

Any thoughts on how to solve this? Thanks!

The standard margins as set by the exchange are what are used. We can adjust your trading account to reduce the required margin. For example, we could set it at 50%.

The odd thing that I probably should have clarified is that for the FTE the margin requirement for both ES and MES is $1200. This should not be the case right?

No that is not true. We did a test now and we get the values of 12,000(ES) and 1200(MES) respectively. To test this, we entered limit orders and checked the margin requirement field in the Trade >> Account Balances Window.

We do not know how you are coming to the conclusion that you are.

These margin rates are pulled directly from the CME every day.

You could also add more funds to your account to meet any margin requirements :
