Missing some daily bars

I let my subscription lapse for a couple of months. When I re-upped and downloaded data everything worked fine expect for $ES daily data for the time I missed. I get a download error message. I tried deleting and downloading again, and I tried resetting the symbols and reloading them. Still I have a hole.

I am using (sigh) IB and TWS.

Thank you

Ok now I don't get an error, I get a historical data download complete but the bars still aren't showing.

This morning I am now missing yesterday's daily bar so it looks like it is just printing whatever today's daily bar is and leaving the gap from Dec 6 2013. Not sure why it wouldn't keep yesterday's bar.

... and magically the $TICK doesn't print negative numbers. If the tick goes below 0 my charts just show zero until it recovers positive. You would think the ES would be up 80 handles if you looked at my TICK chart.

Go to the Daily charts you have a problem with and then select Chart >> Chart Settings. Press the Find button beside the Symbol box and reselect the symbol.

The Symbol box will have one symbol and the Trade and Current Quote Symbol box will have another symbol (The IB symbol).

For the $TICK, go to File >> Find Symbol and use the symbols you see under Market Stats.

I have to reopen this thread because now I am needing a long term 10 minute chart on the SPY etf and there is missing data from 12/6 to 12/30.

I tried the tricks that solved the problem the last time and nothing seems to be working. I tried deleting and starting over, re-finding the symbol, etc.

Thank you

I am trying to line up 10 minute advance decline data with 10 minute SPY data in excel.

I have two separate charts one for the AD line and one with spy. Then I set up two spreadsheet studies and exported the data into two spreadsheets and merged them.

Here is the problem. No matter how I adjust the start and end time for the data there are more 10 minute SPY bars than AD bars... which should be impossible.

Plus, I can't see if SC exports the minute time stamp, it seems like only the day month year. So I can't match the rows by time either.

Is there a way to fix this?

We are here to help with the daily chart. Are you OK with that?

Are you referring to the Date-Time column in a Spreadsheet when using the Spreadsheet study and you only see a date?

I got the daily chart to work it seems by switching to SC data and downloading the missing days. When I switched back to IB to trade it had filled in the same missing days.

As for the spreadsheet yes, I am referring to the date time column which only has the date in it. Should I start a new thread for that?

Select column A on the spreadsheet and then go to Spreadsheet >> Number Format and select a date-time format. This should not be necessary though.

That works but then I only have time of day without the date. For some reason can't get both.
