Program does not run smoothly

There are many times that the program runs in spurts. When this happens it is continuous. I have the clock set up on my charts and the clock skips every three seconds, very consistently.

I have checked my CPU and GPU while Sierra is doing this problem and they both check out fine. Also, my broker platform also has a clock and it runs normally, ie. smoothly, while the Sierra clock runs in spurts.

It is kind of like having a strobe light on my charts.

I have also tried reducing the number of charts, and chartbooks. This does not help.

Occasionally, I open Sierra and it runs smoothly. Also, the market volume does not seem to matter. This can happen at night when the volume is low.

When you notice this, is the user interface of Sierra Chart in a frozen inoperable state?

No, everything operates, but it has about a 1 or 2 second delay before responding

This includes all the commands across the top, as well as moving the chart perimeters. These all have this strange delay, but they all work

Well it does sound like to us, the user interface is not responsive since there is a delay before a response. So you need to follow through these help topics:

The first thing to start with is to increase the Chart Update Interval and run in Safe Mode. That would be sections 30.4 and 30.5 here:
