Today, I am getting the following error even though I am starting a new copy of SC on the same machine and my account control panel is showing 1 connection out of 2. SC Data - All Services | Logon error received from server: Connection limit exceeded. | 2020-03-02 07:30:56.375 I have one production instance (2036) running directly to IB and SC Data. I have another instance (2057) running that is intended as a DTC server. Both these are running on the same machine and are workingfine. Today, whenever I start an instance (2057) on the same machine that connects to the DTC server, I get the connection limit error. This setup normally works fine. Any suggestions on what to try? |

I tried to restart everything and now only one will work at a time from the same machine. If I start the live trading instance (2036) running standalone, and then start the DTC server instance, the latter gives the connection limit error.

https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=RecurringServices shows that my second connection was disconnected on 2/29. I did not do this. The Account Control Panel still shows that I have two connections. When I attempt to "Reactivate Connection" it says that my type of account can only have one realtime-connection. I have never seen this message before. I thought it might have to do with not logging in to a live account on the development connection for too long, but I tried that and it had no effect. |
