Hi support,
I realise you don't offer technical support for Rithmic, but........

I am experiencing order modification problems with latest version.
On screen the 'modified' child orders show "Pending Modification" (or something like this), before jumping back to their original positions.

Trade Service Log: "Rithmic Trading | Failure with order with Service Order ID: 33553718. om_process_modify_order_list : 6 | 2020-02-27 09:49:44.752"

It is possible to update the orders correctly in RTrader, but I would rather use the SC DOM for trading.

It is quite clear this is a Rithmic issue. You can see the error message above:
om_process_modify_order_list : 6

We definitely cannot help with this.

I reverted from v2057 back to v2054, as this working version that I updated from.

For whatever reason, the order modification issue does not occur in v2054.

From our perspective this can only be coincidental. That error message is from the Rithmic system. Nothing has changed with the Rithmic bridge program. We cannot make any changes to it due to compatibility issues.

And also the DTC protocol is used to communicate with the bridge program and there have been no changes with that protocol. This protocol is also used with the Sierra Chart order routing service.

Ok, fair enough, I thought it was worth mentioning.
I did contact Rithmic for support, but didn't hear back yet.
Thanks.

From Rithmic -
"The SierraChart app is sending a modification request with a size of zero which is invalid in our system"

Okay we understand now. This is actually a safety feature to not modify the quantity if it is not getting modified. We will patch this for Rithmic. The DTC protocol treats a quantity of zero, as meaning the quantity is not to be modified.

Now it does make sense to us, why a newer version would have a problem.

Always the same problem on the current version, the order is modified and 2 minute later, it is reset as before

Does anyone else see this issue on version 2060?

We have no ability to test this due to this ridiculous "OS error" we get from the Rithmic API which is one reason we have dropped support for that junk.

2060 fixed it for me, but i only noticed this problem yesterday on a 205x version (can't remember exactly what version i was using.. i think the same as the original poster)

p.s. maybe there's a way to fix the forum so users don't lose their message when they submit and then it asks you to login again? probably the easiest way would be to let the user stay logged in for a long time (months at least, i.e. no having to login almost every time they visit the site)

I saw no evidence of this problem when using v2060 yesterday.

I had this problem now, but I'm unsure if it is related

We will check on this.

You should disable this option if you do not require it:
Global Trade Settings Windows: Send Order Fills to SC Web Server (Global Settings >> General Trade Settings >> General)

Rithmic Trading | Failure with order with Service Order ID: 1125677326. Atomic order operation in progress | 2020-03-05 10:10:57.871 *

You need to ask Rithmic about that error.
