Hello,

I wanted to have a study where the uptick and downtick volume could be plotted out by bar on one single study as pictured in #1.jpg.
This would be where the downtick volume is always plotted underneath the uptick volume on the same bar.

Currently I have managed to merge two seperate studies of uptick and downtick volume in the same subgraph. This is okay but since the volumes overlap it does not show the lesser of the two volumes plotted on the same bar as it is over taken by the larger volume. ie #2.jpg

thank you!

You need to control the display order of the studies as you require:
Chart Studies: Study Display Order

And whichever one is lower in the display order, make the Subgraph Width of it wider.

Hello,

Thank you for your response. I have adjusted the study display order and this seems to toggle which study gets drawn first and overlaps in the same subgraph but does not combine the two into 1 single bar with downtick volume being plotted first in the bar then uptick volume being plotted above in the same bar.

I wasn't sure what you mean by make the subgraph width wider. I highlight the two areas i thought might pertain to what you meant by the width with yellow highlighted question marks on the picture. I have tried increasing the width of the subgraph window if that is was suggested but that still would have the downtick study overlapping the uptick study.

There are many ways to do and display it. Attached is a picture of an already created ACSIL study. Free download.

Since the Up Tick Volume study is higher up in the list of studies, it will get drawn first, therefore it needs to have the wider bar width. Then, when the Down Tick Volume study is drawn, you will still be able to see where the top of the Up Tick Volume occurs since it is wider.

Refer to the following setting that changes the width of the bars:
Chart Studies: Subgraphs Tab >> Line Width
