Hi SC Support,

I am using v2048.

I am trying to backtest however the Trade Activity Log does not clear or update.

My Trade Service Log gives messages such as

"Error opening C:\SierraChart\TradeActivityLogs\TradeActivityLog_2020-01-10_UTC.Sim2.Simulated.data|2020-02-15 14:40:39.075*"

and

"TradeActivity files query time: 32.018493 seconds. Entries:0. Current queries: 1| 2020-02-15 14:41:04.702"

Not sure if it is related, but I recently upgraded to v2048. I was not having this issue prior to upgrade.

Can you please advise how to resolve? Or do you need more information from me?

Thanks in advance for your help

Update to version 2050. We have made a post about this here:
Duplicate Order Fill Issue | Post: 207113

So you need to convert the trade activity format.

Hi
Despite following the procedure in the thread supplied many times, I still am getting the same error messages when running backtests most recently a few minutes ago.
Can you assist in any way?
Thanks in advance

We cannot reproduce this. Just to make sure you have the latest changes update to the very latest release which is now 2057.

Go into the TradeActivityLogs subfolder and delete any files which contain the word "converted".

Thanks for your help.
There are lots of files with the word "converted".
For clarity, once I have
a) upgraded to v2057, and
b) deleted the files with the word "converted"
do I then need to re-run the conversion routine?

No you do not ever need to do the conversion again. And if you still have the error that you describe in the original post, we need to do a remote assistance session to observe this and see what we can determine as to the cause.

Hi,
I Just downloaded current version, which installed v2056 (not 2057).
Is 2057 in pre-release? Do I need to download re-release?
Appreciate all your help

hi

I have tried to download a) current version and b) pre-release.

Both are v2056.

How do I install v2057 please?

further to my previous, the SC Installer shows among other messages

HTTP Request https://www.sierrachart.com/downloads/2057/FilesToDownloadd.txt

but as noted, only v2056 is installed

We apologize for this issue. Although the version on the website is 2057, that build was not actually generated. You would still have received 2056. We are generating it now, and this will be out in about 20 minutes or so.

So at that time just update again.

Hi,
Problem:Recurring backtest issues

Background: please see thread of these messages.
I did delete all files with the word "converted: and everything was file for a while after downloading v2057.

However I have just this morning received a message
"Error opening C:\SierraChart\TradeActivityLogs\TradeActivityLog_2020-03-03_UTC.Sim1.Simulated.data|2020-03-05 09:14:39.19763*"
and also a Trade Activity file query message.

This is after downloading v2060. So not sure what happening.... do we need to have a remote assistance as mentioned ion this thread?

Thanks in advance

Not sure why that happened, but unless we start seeing more reports of this and are able to reproduce, it is very hard for us to know the scenario under which this has occurred. If you restart Sierra Chart, that message will go away and not reoccur.

The message is also harmless and does not indicate a problem unless that file should exist. But it probably does not exist because there was some operation which deleted the data in it.

In regards to post #14, we have discovered the reason for this problem and it is resolved in prerelease 2062.
