I have several years worth of tick data that is important for my analysis. I often flip between the futures trading evaluator and my live account at AMP with the TT routing service. Each time I change data services, I'm prompted with a message "symbol does not exist". No problem, just translate the symbols and move on (Edit Menu: Edit >> Translate Symbols To Current Service).

Is this avoidable ? Can I not just use one set of "parent" symbols so to speak for all of my data (using Denali), and when I change trading accounts then I don't have to translate the symbols each time? Seems sort of odd that the translate would be downloading all of the exact same data but writing it to my hard drive with a different symbol name purely for this purpose.

I looked around at trading multiple accounts, but maybe I missed where I can configure things in this way. I hope my request makes sense.

Thank you!!!

Each service really uses separate symbols which match with what the service requires. The other thing you are not aware of is that internally the data storage can be different for the symbols regarding the decimal point position.

The best thing we can recommend is you just have two separate installations of Sierra Chart, one for each service. Refer to:
