Hi SC,
I was wondering if it would be possible to have a study that would display the settlement prices, similar to how the Open Interest study works on historical charts.

The settlement price would again be for each trading day (and is declared by exchange based on the trades occurring in a settlement window), so it'd be great if we have that for Historical Charts.

What you want to do is open a Historical Daily chart and the closing prices on that chart are the actual Settlement prices. It has always been this way.

You can only run what is called a bar-based test on a Historical Daily chart.

Hello. Im trying to set up a monthly, weekly, and a daily chart for S&P (ES) futures that shows RTH session only and shows settlement prices as the closing prices. How do I accomplish this. It's not through the historical because I can't change the session times.. assistance is highly appreciated

Is there a way you can add this feature. TOS has this, and when dealing with the indices cash session is king. big money uses "regular trading hours" and the use the "settlement price." Sorry to be a pain but this is kind of a big deal. Thoughts?

This is definitively never going to come. Maybe you can figure out a way to construct it yourself but it is not something we would do.

Do you know if the settlement price can only be shown via historical charts ? Meaning if you are using intraday Daily chart will it display the settlement price if the appropriate time setting are used ? For example if you are using an intraday Daily chart of ES and setting the closed to 3:15 CT (15:15 CT) will it display the settlement price or do you have to use the historical chart only ?

Also are you able to form weekly and monthly charts using intraday format ? or only historical ?

Thank you

Steven, since historical charts use settlement, you can use the "Daily OHLC" study on an intraday chart then point the "Daily Chart Number" within the "Daily OHLC" settings and inputs, back to a previously opened daily historical chart. On the subgraphs tab, just use the close and rename it if you want it to show settlement label. Very simple to do. See screenshot. Purple lines are Settlement in the screenshot.

Refer to 12.13 here:
Historical Chart Prices: 12.13 - Official Settlement Price Only Available in Historical Charts (Not Intraday)

And refer to:
